What is the Microsoft Affiliate Network?
The Microsoft Affiliate Network encompasses all Microsoft's premier
affiliate opportunities.
When you apply to the program, you will get:

Why do
I need a Windows Live account in order to fill out an application form for the
Microsoft Affiliate Network?
The Network uses Windows Live accounts to authenticate affiliates who
join our programs. You will
need you to sign in to your Windows Live ID or create
a Windows Live ID account as part of the
application approval process.
How long will it take for
you to review my application?
Typically the review process takes
between 24-48 hours. We are currently accepting applications
from affiliates interested in participating in the Microsoft Affiliate
Network private release period,
which is designed to scale uthe
size of the affiliate network as we roll out additional offers. Once
approved, youll be one of just a few affiliates in the network
and have a great opportunity to
market these great offers.
What are the eligibility requirements
to participate?
Ideal participants in the Microsoft Affiliate Network
include well-known and respected sites, blogs,
niche content sites,
membershisites, comparison shopping sites and everything in between.

Will I have to pay taxes on my earnings?
US tax law requires that we obtain a valid taxpayer IDnumber (EIN or W9
form with social security
number for sole proprietors) from every affiliate
before payment can be issued. You will receive
information on where to find the appropriate tax form
after you are accepted into the program,
and you will receive a 1099 for earnings as tax law requires.
For international residents, please
submit a W8 form.
When do I get paid?
Affiliate payments are released 15 days after the month in which commissions
were earned when
affiliates have a tax ID on file with us, when
a minimum of $25 has been earned. So for example,
if you earned the minimum commissions in January and have a tax form on file
with us, payments
will be processed to you for January's earnings
on February 15.
How do I know how much I have earned?
You will be given a username and a password and will be able to access your
Microsoft Affiliate Network
administration panel. There, you can obtain
information on the number of impressions and click-throughs
you have generated, as well as commissions earned.
Do you handle all of the transactions – or do I have
to get a merchant account and start
taking orders at my site?
We handle all transactions through our site. We just
need you to send us traffic - we'll do the rest.
